Privacy Policy
This draft describes the application as supplied. It must be reviewed and completed before the public launch of quizzlyo.com.
Quiz answers and scores
The application processes quiz selections and scores in your browser's memory. It does not create an account or send quiz responses to an application database. Reloading the page clears the current quiz state. Scores and individual answer selections are not saved in cookies or local storage. With analytics consent, completion events send the total score and percentage to Google Analytics, but not the individual answers.
Hosting and technical requests
Loading a website involves sending requests to a hosting provider, which may process information such as IP address, requested URL, browser details and timestamps for delivery and security. The operator must identify the actual provider, purposes, legal basis where required and retention arrangements here, including any processors, relevant data transfers and how to contact the operator. Deployment-provider logs are distinct from the quiz answers kept in browser memory.
Search and sharing
Search matches quiz metadata locally in your browser. The share button uses your device's native sharing interface when available, or copies a result only after you press it. A service you choose to share to may handle your information under its own policy.
Optional Google Analytics
If you choose “Accept analytics,” we load Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to measure page visits and quiz activity. Google processes technical information about the visit and uses analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_1800DPJXCT to distinguish browsers and sessions. These are analytics identifiers; Quizzlyo does not add an account ID, email, name or custom user identifier.
Our custom events record quiz starts, completions, restarts, share-button actions and clicks from articles to quizzes. They include quiz/article slugs, quiz category and difficulty, question count, and completion score and percentage where applicable. We do not send individual answers, free-text searches, query strings or URL fragments in these events. Page measurements use the canonical URL and only the origin of an external referring site, without its path or query. Google Analytics also processes standard visit and session information. The operator must review the Google property settings and disclosures before launch, including enhanced measurement, retention and data sharing.
Your analytics choice
Optional analytics is off by default for every visitor. No Google Analytics script or analytics request is made until you accept. Rejecting does not restrict any quiz. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization remain denied; no Google Ads or AdSense code is included.
Your choice and its timestamp are stored in this browser's local storage under quizzlyo.analytics-consent.v1. We remember a valid choice for up to 180 days, so we do not repeatedly ask; an expired record is removed when the site checks it. This preference storage is separate from Google's analytics cookies. If storage is unavailable, a choice applies only to the current page. Removing site storage, an invalid or expired choice, or a different browser may cause the choice to be requested again.
Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to change your choice. Rejecting after accepting stops our tracking, removes accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page to unload the Google script. A reload clears any quiz currently in progress. Withdrawal does not erase information already sent to Google, and cannot delete cookies on domains this website does not control. Contact the operator through the verified privacy channel, once configured, for applicable rights requests.
Provider, retention and owner review
Before launch — owner information required: identify the applicable Google service entity and processing terms, actual Analytics retention and cookie settings, purposes and legal basis, relevant international transfers and safeguards, applicable rights and complaint procedures, and the operator's privacy contact. The application requests a 180-day analytics-cookie lifetime; the operator must verify the actual cookies and Google property configuration. A consent banner alone does not establish legal compliance. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Search Console and advertising
Google Search Console, if configured manually by the owner, provides search-performance reports without adding an on-page analytics script. Advertising placements remain disabled. If advertising or another data practice is introduced, review this policy and any required consent before enabling it.
Enquiries and privacy rights
The contact channel is not yet configured. Before launch, add a secure way to contact the operator and describe applicable access, correction, deletion, objection, consent withdrawal and complaint rights, including relevant authority details where required.
Children and updates
The supplied application does not collect profile information or offer messaging features. The operator must determine any age-related obligations for its intended audience and jurisdiction. Update this notice when actual data practices change, and publish the effective date.
